Dr. Isabelle Mulango

Dr. Isabelle Mulango.

Dr. Isabelle Mulango earned her MD at the University of Buea, Cameroon in 2014. Her very first duty station as a General Practitioner was a rural hospital where she provided comprehensive care and consultations to children and adults in an inpatient, outpatient, and emergency department setting. She has hands-on clinical experience in primary care and has served as coordinator for Diabetes & Hypertension and HIV/AIDS committees.

Born and raised in Cameroon, Dr. Mulango grew up in a country with significant health workforce shortage which helped her develop interest in promoting health literacy and bridging the gaps in healthcare delivery. In addition, she is a die-hard advocate for integration of mental health services in primary healthcare.

Dr. Mulango loves volunteering and oftentimes provides free medical services in underserved areas and orphanages, organizing workshops to educate women and girls on thermal issues, and mentoring young girls to study STEM programs in Cameroon.

She is ECFMG certified and is currently pursing US clinical experience for residency in psychiatry and/or family medicine.

Aside from being a physician, Isabelle enjoys music, cooking and travelling to explore new cultures.
